Irish golfing legend Christy O'Connor Senior knows much about trophies - he has had plenty of first-hand experience of them over recent decades.

Christy was the natural first choice for Tipperary Crystal to collaborate with in designing a range of cut-glass trophies for presentation at golfing, and other events.

The Benchmark in Classic Trophy Designs

Throughout his very long sporting career Christy achieved a level of consistent success matched by very few others.

This is reflected in the Tipperary Crystal Christy O’Connor Senior Collection, which has become a benchmark in classic trophy designs.

During a career that spanned four decades, Christy won 24 titles on the European Tour, including the 1956 and 1959 British Masters and 20 international tournaments, including 10 Irish PGA titles.

He also won eight times on the European senior circuit and participated in 10 Ryder Cup teams for Great Britain and Ireland, as well as Ireland’s winning team in the Canada Cup. Christy was elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2009.

Sporting successes run in the O’Connor clan. When his nephew of the same name also became a top golfer and started winning his own trophies, they started being referred to as Christy O’Connor Senior and Christy O’Connor Junior respectively.
