Patrick Guilbaud moved from France to Ireland in 1981, and quickly established himself as Ireland's top restaurateur.

Michelin Star Standard

Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud sets the standards by which others are judged. His restaurant in the Merrion Hotel was the first in the country to receive two Michelin stars, and has won many other national and international awards.

So it was only natural that Patrick’s pursuit of perfection would lead to his collaboration with Tipperary Crystal to create a range of perfect wine glasses.

Every wine has its own unique characteristics. The shape and quality of the glass affects how the wine is delivered to the nose and palate so that its personality can be fully appreciated.

Patrick’s designs use the finest clear crystal, giving optimum clarity and an unimpaired view. Each shape is determined by the nature of the wine.

These range from the Grand Cru (the large structure of this glass gives breathing space for such full-bodied wines) to the Sauvignon (where the glass is shaped to deliver the identifiable bouquet to the nose, and delicate ripeness of the grape to the centre of the palate).
